With the support of the Committee, families and the wider community, Blossom Park Kindergarten strives to be the leaders in the area for Preschool services.

We believe that play serves an essential part of a child’s learning and wellbeing. It is the way a child makes sense of their world and is therefore vital to their life. Play allows children to explore, question, imagine, wonder and distinguish between fiction and reality. Children will learn in an environment which is welcoming, caring and supportive. They will be provided with a range of equipment and tools that encourage them to create, imagine, explore, hypothesise, take risks and discover. Through individual and group observations our program is tailored to cater for individual needs, interests and learning styles. Whilst following the Departmental National Early Years Learning and Departmental Framework our program has a strong emphasis on developing and nurturing the “whole child”. We focus on a child’s individual growth and aim for children to develop socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively and intellectually.

Our program has a strong emphasis on developing a child’s self confidence and social skills. We work towards fostering positive friendly and co-operative interactions and developing tolerance and empathy for other’s needs and feelings. We introduce simple rules such as turn taking and sharing while simultaneously promoting self expression and articulation of one’s feelings. We aim to equip children with the social skills and learning tools needed to take them beyond kinder and school.
